Milton Merlyn Faigen, 90, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on May 1.

Milt was born on August 14, 1931 to Helen and Ben Faigen in Pittsburgh, Pa. The family moved to Chicago when he was a young boy and he grew up on the 'fast' streets on the south side of the city.

After serving in the Coast Guard, Milt moved to Houston, in search of employment. He started selling used cars with his brother, Louis Faigen.

Soon after, he met the love of his live, Leah Ann Lewis at the Jewish Community Center. The courtship was swift and they were soon married in February 1956. In July 1957, son Mark was born, followed by daughter, Robyn in 1959.

Both Milt and his brother, Lou went on to long, fun careers in the car business. Milt went to work at Sam White Oldsmobile and Lou with Bill McDavid Oldsmobile. Yes, the brothers became competitors, working at the top 2 Oldsmobile dealerships in the country! Yet, remained best friends throughout, accepting accolades and traveling together with their wives on many producer winning trips.

Milt was an avid sports fan and had many "friends" that he would meet with after a fun weekend of football or a horse race.

In 1989, Milt married the 2nd of love of his life, Patty. Together they enjoyed travel, large extended family and all the wonderful simchas. He loved a good drink, a good meal and very spirited political "conversation ".

Milt was preceded in death by his mother and father, Helen and Ben Faigen, brothers Louis Faigen and Norman Faigen, wife, Leah Ann Lewis Faigen, daughter, Robyn Faigen Shkolnick and daughter-in-law, Karri Webb Faigen. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Faigen; son, Mark Faigen, step-children, Larry and Cheryl Hemley, Jill and Neal Kaminsky and Andrew and Brettne Hemley. And his beloved grandchildren, Liam Faigen, Leah and Lauren Shkolnick, Seth and Jordan Hemley, Sam, Joshua and Kate Kaminsky and Myca and Harrison Hemley, as well as many nieces and nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 12 noon, graveside at Beth Yeshurun Cemetery (Post Oak).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Milt's name to a charity of your choice or Jewish Family Service, 4131 S. Braeswood, Houston, TX 77025.
