Wayne R. Saeger passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Houston Hospice at the age of 80. He was born in Binghamton, New York, to Kathryn and Rudolph Saeger. He is survived by his wife Helaine "Cookie" Saeger and son Jeffrey Saeger.

Wayne grew up in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, where he loved the small-town atmosphere and has maintained lifelong friendships. He moved to Houston with his family in 1960 and attended the University of Houston. That is where he met his wife of 52 years Helaine (in the Cougar Den). Wayne joined the U.S. Marine Corps as a reservist from 1964 to 1970 and was a proud Marine.

Wayne was transportation manager for Goodman Manufacturing for many years as well as working for Bethlehem Steel in the Humble Building downtown. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family as well as watching M.A.S.H. on television.

He loved his family and was always there when needed. He will be truly missed.
