Dorothy Schlosberg Rieter has danced her last dance. She passed away peacefully in her home Sunday morning, March 22. Dorothy was loved and admired by a large host of family and friends. Born in San Antonio, she moved to Dallas at age 2. She loved life and most especially her family. Dorothy worked at Golden Acres for over 30 years as secretary to the Director, Herb Shore. When she retired, she played mah jongg, line-danced and continued her own business where she personalized paper goods. She expanded that business by making greeting cards which she sold at her Town Village North gift shop where she lived for the past 15 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Sadie and Louis Schlosberg, son Arnold Rieter, sister Esther Lipman and husband Teddy, her brothers Samuel Schlosberg and Myron Schlosberg and wife Rose and former husband Irvin Rieter. She is survived by daughter Vivian Levin and husband Julian of Houston; Julian's children, Mark Levine and Shelley Wiesenthal; daughter-in-law Carol Tobias and husband Larry; grandsons Michael Moss and friend, Kim Collins, Jack Moss and wife Caroline and Brian Rieter and wife Pamela. Her great grandchildren are Brooke Moss, Mike A. Moss, Blake Rieter and great great-grandson Mason Lopez plus nieces, nephews and cousins. Thank you to Terri Spears, Tenay, Cindy and the staff at Town Village North for taking such good care of her. She will be missed by all of us. A graveside funeral will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the Temple Emanu-El Cemetery at 3490 Howell Street in Dallas.
